Carris Reels

Carris Reels was founded in 1951 by Henry Carris, and ownership passed to his son Bill in 1980. Carris Reels sells a full line of manufactured reel products, including wooden, plastic and tin, marketed to a wide variety of industries. Reels are packaging for wire, cable, rope, hose, conduit and other materials that can benefit from being continuously wound. Carris Reels serves North America from seven manufacturing plants in the United States and Mexico. Carris Reels has about 425 employees, with about 45% based in New England. Corporate headquarters are in Proctor, Vermont and Carris Reels also has a plant in Enfield, Connecticut. Additional facilities, located outside of New England are located in Statesville, North Carolina; Galien, Michigan; Madera, California; Fincastle, Virginia; and Monterrey, Mexico.

Carris Reels is 100% employee-owned company. We have been an ESOP company since 1995. Carris purchased 50% of J Hamelin Industries in 2008. Hamelin has plants in St Jerome and Chambly Quebec and Bowmanville Ontario Canada. Carris and Hamelin have integrated products and services for offerings in both countries.
