For over half a century, Carris Reels has provided its customers with high-quality cable reels and spools including plywood reels, plastic reels and nailed wood reels for the wire and cable Industry.

Started in 1951 by Henry Carris with just two employees, the fledgling plywood reel company quickly established its reputation by the sheer force of Henry’s Midwestern work ethic and his unwavering conviction that people would prefer to buy superior products.

When Bill Carris took over the business from his father in 1980, he knew that the most important key to the company’s continued success would be to keep customers happy.

Staying Ahead of Competitors in Industrial Reels and Spools

Bill Carris grew the business by adding new product lines, including plastic reels and spools.

Carris manufactures a large assortment of industrial reels, standard, fine wire, welding wire and magnet wire reels, using molds made to the industry's highest standards.

Today, the company produces a wide variety of creative packaging for the wire and cable industry.

Bill also proved to be an equally innovative president, and his vision for the company even surpassed his father’s commitment.

We must stay in front of our competitors in customer satisfaction, offering creative solutions in a dynamic marketplace.”

As time moved on, Bill's leadership resulted in more than novel ideas. He guided the company into a corporate philosophy that would help conserve natural resources by setting up a network of reel return depots and recycling centers where used reels would be received and graded.

By being able to recycle reels and spools when possible, Carris Reels continues to save customers money and help conserve natural resources.

Carris Reels thinks inside - and outside the box

Carris Reels continues to produce the same high-quality hard board, nailed wood and plastic reels that have made the company a leader in the industry.

In addition to these reels Carris has also added a number of other products to supply their customers' needs such as the innovative Reel-in-a-Box.

The Reel-in-a-Box is the preferred package for the installation of category 5 and 6 cables. The cable is protected, eliminating any need for pay-off racks.
